I don't know if its just me but putting the gimbal cover back on seems frustratingly tricky.
Anyone got any particular method for fitting it without it knocking the gimbal that then moves the camera out of position?

It is a bit of a fiddle, just make sure the camera is pointing forwards when you position the cover.

Yeah I find it much more fiddly than the Mini 2, I think because the camera has to sit in the plastic "guides" inside the cover it's hard to get lined up properly at an angle, normally takes me 2-3 goes.

According to a couple of YT vids, if you put the foam insert back in place the cover goes on really easy.

Every DJI drone I've owned since the Phantom 4 has been a real faff to fit the gimbal clamp.

If you look closely there are guides in the other mini gimbal covers too, curved rebates for the front end face of the pitch pivots.
I find the problem with those is that it often looks like that at least one pivot is not in its rebate.

Well that is worth knowing and I kept it as I always do..... Yup that helps a lot.
I also cut the piece of foam a little shorter and that also helped

No problem! I can't take credit for this though, I haven't even received my drone yet!

Put the foam that the drone was originally packed behind gimbal to stabilize it - it makes possible to put the plastic cover with one hand and ease.
But keep in mind that when you power on the drone you should have the foam and plastic cover removed to protect gimbal motor.

Hello there Lobster. Good day and thank you for reaching out. I hope that our fellow DJI co pilots who owns the new DJI Mini 3 Pro can give out the best recommendation and information on how the remove and attached the gimbal over of the DJI Mini 3 Pro. Thank you.

I find the Mini 2 to be damn fiddly, it seems that I have to make sure its square so it sits in the little guides else the camera will sit on the plss, i worry that if i don't do that it will upset it lol

I find fitting the guard before turning the drone off to be less fiddly. the gimbal seems to gold itself in the right place.

Another interesting method. I have always turned mine off first
