For some reason the Phantom app disappeared off of my Lgg2 phone running DJI app 3.1.61 and the Phantom 3 only takes photos at low resolution. How can this be corrected?

Hello there Hawk2. I am sorry for the trouble this has caused and thank you for reaching out. Kindly please try to uninstall an reinstall the DJI Go application ( https://www.dji.com/downloads/djiapp/dji-go-3 ) to see if the issue will still persist? In addition, please sync all of your flight records before uninstalling the DJI Go application on your mobile device for you not to loose your previous flight information. If the issue persist kindly please try using a different recommended mobile device for us to be able to isolate the said issue. Thank you.

When I go to update the DJI app it shows me DJI GO-for "products before P4" version 3.1.61 which is not the latest from the google app store according to your post it should be 3.1.72.Do you have asha256 hash for the file?

The camera is not taking low resolution photos, they are actually 18.3 Megabytes in size. However, it is set to shoot in RAW, and the tiny 160 x 120 pixel image is a JPG preview of the full size file.

SoWhen I compare older images the size is 4.1 MB and they are JPEG. Shouldn't  RAW have a higher resolution that Jpeg?

I still don't understand why there is a 3.1.72 version available but my phone which I have always used with  the drone doesn't see the update and when I install 3.1.72 the dji app recognizes the drone as being connected but when I click on the camera the app closes. But If I run 3.1.61 it runs with no problem.

You are quite mixed up.
File size is not resolution.
And look at the filesize of the dng file you posted screenshots from (18.3 MB).
Do you think that a tiny image with resolution of 120 x 160 would have a filesize of 18 MB ??

You need specialised software to view the dng file.
If the software you are using cannot read the dng file, it will only show you the tiny preview jpg image that is inside the dng file.
That's the 120 x 160 image that it's reporting to you.
It might be a good idea for you to forget dng files and just use jpg images.

You are quite right. The app I was using to view did something unexpected. The resolution is correct for the photos.

However the new version 3.1.72. is faulty and does not work. It recognizes the drone but closes when attempting to connect to the camera.

All is well. thanks
