Im in the dog house as I walked her 11.2 miles yesterday and she got sun burn,   but its funny here,   there are basically 4 days off for the queens jubilee celebrations.

From what I have read / seen, it is still not too quick.

Which makes me wonder what they have changed. (with the newer drones that seem to be slower)

The mini3 do far has been super quick.   30 seconds irbetter as long as it’s not in the shade of a building.  The controller takes up to 4 minutes though.

What you believe (based on an assumption that something you heard is correct) is irrelevant.

I said that the Mavic 3 GPS acquisition is properly quick and now I have tested a cold start 36 hours and 120 kilometres since flying.
The Mavic 3 had 20+ sats and recorded a home point in 23 seconds.
That's properly quick.

Yeah, I do remember hearing something about that.  For some reason the royals don't get a lot of coverage here in the states.  It kind of comes and goes.

Yeah, that is as quick as my M2 is right now.
Good to hear the M3p is now catching up.
I really wonder what they messed up to make it that slow in the first place.

Its a good bit quicker than 60 seconds and second battery takes less than 10 seconds , second start with mini 3 takes up to 40 seconds to get homepoint not sure why that is.

Yesterday my controller did actually get a lock before I was ready to take off which was nice,   im hoping it keeps that up.

Yeah, it does vary on the M2 too, but never too long.

I flew the M2 yesterday and the sats locked almost instantly. It was quite impressive.

95% of the time I feel it takes less than 20s

Mini3 is about the same,   I suspect when I get more batteries it will instant after the first flight.

Batteries for the Mavic 3 are finally shipping from DJI store after a long absence.  Just got notification that mine are on the way!
