I have updated Fly app and M3C firmware when it came out, May 31st.
Did a little inspection flight, just to make sure of the new and old features.
Tonight decided to take a shot at a pretty lame sunset, and was surprised the RC pro stated I have a FW update incoming.
I landed the drone, tapped the update banner.
It immediately jumped to 72% and concluded to 100% a few minutes later
Anybody else has experienced that? Now that I think of it, it could have been another battery...
Not sure. Will check with the next one.

Apart form that, GPS seems to be MUCH faster, and showing more satellites.

What the update banner showing? It showed need to update the drone or update the RC?

It said drone firmware needs updating

I did not get that, is the FW version still the same on RC and AC?

I wonder, if for some reason, your original update didn't think it finished its install sequence, this why the mystical 2nd one went so fast.

Dunno, really. M3 is a first for many oddities. Never had any of them with my previous drones.

Can you show us what version of your drone’s FW, RC’s FW and your DJI fly app version?

Make sure your Fly app is updated, if it still happening, try to use DJI assistance 2 update the drone and RC again from PC

I have not had that yet, but will let you know.  For tomorrow's flying, everything I am doing is M2Pro.  The more things change, the more I keep flying the M2.  : )

Yes, I think DJI released M3 too early, they are rushing to earn the money from the market rather than provide a high end product to us

Flew again tonight. No more updates, even with another battery. I guess it was a glitch of sorts...
