I'm using a DJI Smart Controller running v01.01.0064 and DJI Fly v1.6.1 with an AIR 2S with firmware v02.04.2150.Everything is up to date & I've installed no 3rd party apps on the Smart Controller.  The problems started soon after the last updates.  While troubleshooting, it seems the app will connect and keep working until I start recording.  It then crashes, comes back up & crashes again.  As soon as the video from the drone become visible, if I manage to stop recording, the next time the app comes back it will stay up (until I press record again).  I'm using the same memory cards that worked fine before this issue popped up.
  This is bug makes the drone useless.  There are no new software or firmware updates available.  Would a factory reset help?

Check the software for DJI Fly. The latest for smartphones says v1.6.4. https://www.dji.com/downloads/djiapp/dji-fly  Why wouldn't the SC use the latest?

No idea why DJI's own controller is slow to get updates.  Swapping memory cards in the drone made no difference.  I finally swapped the card in the controller & it started working.  Everything is back to normal.  i can fly the drone & now only have to deal with the occasional DJI app crashes.  DJI, please consider adding an event logs to your system.

I have the same event, smartcontroller became black ,  i updated the last release 1..7.4
