An unexpected interruption to our journey this afternoon by the arrival of the Air Ambulance to attend a medical emergency nearby.
The Pocket2 was on hand to get a shot of the 'copter after it had landed.

That’s a cool looking helicopter, great find Bleriot hope whoever got injured is ok.

We were discouraged from hanging about - understandably.

Impressive capture Mr. B.    Unfortunately situation for somebody but at least there was a field nearby to accommodate using the Air Rescue copter.  Nice color scheme on the copter.

Mrs.  B spotted it. I was driving. So we stopped. That's just 200yards from where we used to live before we moved to France.

I was watching the road   She was awake for once during a journey.

Nice shot,   out one is red here.   

This is our local one.  He stopped for a chill out the other day.

I think its always unexpected seeing them land.  Especially as they often disable ADS-B,  although not as often as the police helicopter.

That's a well-spotted opportunity, interesting to see those up close. Though I do wish that the one(s) whoever needed it got the help they needed. Not wondering really why the personnel don't want too many cameras and audience around - the situation usually is bad enough without them. But I'm sure you did stay out of their way and it was nice that you managed to share this picture with us. :-)

Sounds a bit like on of my grandsons.  That boy can get in the car and fall asleep before we get 3 blocks away.  He gets plenty of sleep at night but car rides just put him right to sleep.  Been that way since he was born.  

Me, I can't sleep at all when I'm in a car as a passenger.

The incident was out of site in one of the nearby houses. We didn't hang around to interfere - just took our pictures and withdrew.

I dont know for sure,   but it appeared he landed to talk to someone,    but that could have been a coincidence.

Nice color. I guess they wouldn't have liked you to whip out the tiny whoop and fly around them...
