Yeah,  this guy zoomed past the other boat that was stuck.   Although he seemed to ignore the 8 knot speed limit.

Great captures DA.    Not sure if there is a speed limit in that area but that boat is hauling butt.

8 knot limit is signed posted in that area.

Well, they were without a doubt exceeding 8 Kts.  I guess you don't have the marina police there writing citations like they do lots of places here in Florida.  Quickest way to get a citation here on the water is speeding in a No Wake Zone.

Thumbing his nose at the other guy stuck in the mud on the right, perhaps?
And not observing the spped limit either by the looks of the wake.

Ive never seen anyone policing the speed on the smaller water ways,   at least nothing smaller than the Thames in central London.

Probably more worried here about a boat running over a manatee or something.

Best Ive seen in the river lately were lots of eels and some little fish that kept leaping out onto a kids paddle board,   That was quite the sight.

Interesting that you see a lot of eels.  When I was stationed at the American Embassy in Madrid I was out tapa hopping one day and they had fried baby eels available.  Gave them a try and they weren't bad.

If memory serves me right they were called anguilas fritas

Yep,  under 50ft you can sail into London,  over 50ft you need to have a pilot onboard.

It feels like it,   year ago they dredged a local pond and they found one in a tea pot.

Im not really a fish fan,  shellfish yes,   but one thing that gets me every time is the smell of makerill cooking on an open fire.   Often in the Mediterranean you see people fishing from the beach or a pier and then they knock something up there and then cook them.  I love that smell.

I rarely cook fish in the oven because the smell tends to linger.  Works great using the grill though as it is outside and the smell doesn't linger.  I'm not big on oysters but I do love eating salmon and swordfish.
