Is it cause for concern that there are such frequent updates, isn't it only a few weeks since 1.6 was lanuched and 1.6.4 on 1/6/22?

Well I don’t think so 1.6.4 was a very big update with the app getting lots of new features. However some of these features were not passed on to Dji Rc as its app version stayed .6.1. like ability to change shutter speed using wheel etc. so I’d say 1.5.6 is just optimizing that version with bug fixes. I think as Apple is getting close to iOS 16 you are going to see more app updates. Im just hoping they don’t allow Dji Rc to fall behind.

To be honest i feel like a second class citizen, I've been flying DJI drones for about 4 years using IOS... Updates are easy and often. Moving over to the DJI RC has been a terrible experience from an updating point of view. Love the device just not the software platform it runs on....

Quite common for DJI - whenever a new product is launched there's a big update for the apps to support the new product then a slew of bug fix updates after that for it.

What is the problem ? Realize its still on 1.6.1 but Im not sure that updates on 1.6.4 are for Mini pro. The RC Pro has updated. I think that either they are going to introduce a small FW or they are working out if Dji Rc will get any features from 1.6.4

On Andriod still 1.6.4.

Thats not Dji Rc I take it.

The RC can only be used with the M3P, there is no need for DJI to update the app version if the changes are not related to the M3P or the RC. Don't fix something that isn't broken

Some of the features in 1.5.4 particular camera settings can apply to Mini 3 pro, so why not update the dji RC if this is possible .

Seriously??

1.6.4 was just released a bit over a week ago, and the changes don't even apply for the Mini 3 Pro.
So you would notice no difference after updates.
Don't understand your impatience at all.   Updates will come, if and when it is related to the Mini 3 Pro.

Apple and Google both delay releases sometimes for ridiculous time periods.  I would be more concerned if we were not getting updates.  Hug a developer today.

DJI fly app is no longer available on the google play store, you need to go to DJI website to download latest version for android.

I agree, but any app optimisation or stability improvements in an app update should be applied across the board. Updates are not always about new features. I'm more interested in the products that i use are optimised and as stable as they can be.

Well that is what you get for being one of the first. Was your drone flying how you wanted it to before the update. If it was why did you mess with it.

Simple rule with any tech. If it aint broke dont fix it

Well I haven’t checked if 1.6.5 is already on RC pro 1.6.4 is, but I expect they will.

As I understand, the DJI Mini 3 Pro RC is Android powered, hence no update available, or? At least no prompt to update for me here in Sweden with the Mini 3 + RC combo. Still running 1.6.1.

This seems to be a complaint with 1.6.5.  I didn't intend to update mine, as we know what DJI are like with their software updates, but left my phone's autoupdate  function enabled so it has

High winds have meant I haven't been able to try it out myself yet.

Exactly, and the DJI RC hasn’t had a update on the fly app. So yes I’m missing out like I mentioned in my first post.

Moving from IOS to android is a bit of a downgrade to be honest.
