Hello does anyone else think that the DJI Mini 3 Pro charges slow? Any way to speed this up a bit. taking over 2 hours to charge the battery.

using a DJI brink to charge and or USB output is 5V/2.4A max

Thanks.

You need a USB-C PD adaptor capable of 30 watts.  Then its from zero to full in under an hour.  Old style USB output (non PD) isnt going to fast charge - it simple can't supply the power.  Mine takes 28.7W initially on fast charge.

It can charge even faster, max charging power for the standard battery is 37w.

I am using this.  I actually fast charge in the drone, and in the fmc charger at the same time, all fast charging.  I also charge the RC at the same time.  Love this thing.

Don't see this in real life - even on 60w and 100w USB-C PD bricks the absolute maximum i've measured is 28.7W.  There are other reviews online and YouTube showing the same.

This is from an empty battery as well so that's the most power drain expected.

Hello there. Good day and thank you for reaching out.  Just a reminder that the DJI recommends using a recommended charger for the DJI Mini 3 Pro's intelligent flight battery with a charging time of 64 mins. ( with DJI 30W USB-C Charger ) and a recommended charger for the DJI Mini 3 Pro's intelligent flight battery plus with a charging time of 101 mins. ( with DJI 30W USB-C Charger ). Thank you.

You can reach 37W using the HUB.

Im just using the drone itself.
Fly More kits with hubs appear to be rarer than rocking horse sh*t so not sure i'll ever see a hub !

Definitely get a more powerful USB-C charger. I'm current using a Satechi 100w charger and that takes no time.It doesn't charger at 100w but whatever the mac the Mini 3 Pro can handle.

If you can get a GAN charger off amazon you'll be happy!

I use this power charger from Amazon.co.uk https://www.amazon.co.uk/Charger ... White/dp/B099RS32J9 I actually got it for my Pixel 6 Pro and it looks like Mini 3 Pro and Pixel 6 pro use similar value for PD. I did charge Drone and Hub 10 times already and no issues.

BTW If I want to charge RC same time I just used my laptop charger that has type C charger I think it is 65W Lenovo.

I bought a USB-C PD charger rated for 30 watts.  First charge on new standard battery took 67 minutes.  First charge on plus batteries were 108 minutes on one and 106 minutes on the other one.  Even the RC appeared to charge slow.

I use one of these and seems quite fast.. I charge it in the drone at the moment, until I get my FMC later then I will try all three batteries.

If you are charging at 10W this is expected behavior.

Drone charges at a max of 28.7W
Controller RC-N1 at 8w.
No idea about the DJI RC as i don't have that.

Apparently the hub will use 35W.

60 minutes for a standard battery charge to full is about right - remember it pulls less power the nearer to full it gets.

The plus batteries are great for more flying time but definitely adds an extra 40 minutes to the charge time over the standard battery.

They would do.  They sill only charge at the just under 30w rate.

(Not that plus batteries are sold in Europe.  Im going to need to find a 3rd party seller)

So for the mini 3 pro, it has consistently charged at around the 29-30 watts and then if I double up and add the RC on the slower port, the total is around 40 watts(partial charge).

Just the drone

I am getting some interesting behavior, I just got the HUB and it charges slower than charging in the mini 3 pro.  I tried with multiple chargers.

30w charger = 28w M3P = 17w Hub
45w charger = 28w M3P = 17w Hub
65w portable battery charger = 28w M3P = 21w Hub

Makes no sense, anyone else have the hub and can't get it to even match the speed of charging in the M3P? I thought it was supposed to be faster due to not being limited by heat.  Supported charging profiles seem to indicate up to 36w max for the hub (12v x 3a).  I have tried both standard and plus batteries with identical results.

Ive found the exact same slow results. The drone will take 28-29 watts while the hub takes 17 watts. But here's where it gets interesting, I switched the USB C cable to the short one that came with the fly more package and voila, the hub charges at 28 watts just like the drone.
Clearly, cables make a difference in charge rates too. i use an Anker 65 watt USB C and an Apple 65 watt USB C brick for testing.

Devices that use the measurement also wag on charging, and the hub may, due to their presence, go into normal charging.

I have perfect and cheapest solution for fast charge DJI Avata and Mini 3 Pro! Buy any 100w car charger and use original short USB C to USB C cable from pack of DJI Avata or Mini 3 Pro.
Problem solved! Now you can fast charge your drone

...at about 30 watts.
The devices in the flymore hub or drone will not charge at a higher rate.

And any properly rated USB-C PD cable will work (actually certified not a cheap knock off on amazon or ebay).

You can reach 37W using the HUB.

Can confirm that. It's part matter of the charger, but also of charging state and temperature.

Not entirely correct.
As measured by a power meter, Mini 3 pro batteries will charge at a maximum 30 watts in the drone and at a maximum 36 watts in the 3 way charging hub. This requires a charger that has a 12v charging protocol of at least 3 amps. More powerful PD chargers ( 45 watt, 65 watt, etc.) will not charge the batteries any faster as the drone or charging hub limit maximum charge rate to their respective 30/36 watts. Chargers without a 12 volt output ( that I have tested) will default to the 9v volt or lower protocol and will not charge the batteries at the maximum rate of 30/36 watts. Also as mentioned by SeehawerB state of charge over around 75% will start to slowly taper off the maximum rate down to as low as about 2-3 watts when it is approaching 100%.

The only way a 100w charger has any real benefit is if its dual output so you can charge batteries in the hub and with a separate cable, one in the drone at the same time.

Charging lithium batteries slow is usually better for the batteries health. Is this also the case here when using the 3-way charger?

Hello there. Apologies for the experience.  Some fast charging adapters for certain phones only support proprietary protocols, which may result in charging failure. Even replacing the charging adapter may not resolve the charging issue. It is recommended to disconnect the power outlet, remove all batteries from the charging hub, and wait for half a minute before reinserting them. Then, use a charging adapter that supports the PD fast charging protocol and PPS charging protocol and try again.

It's a Mini 3. I realised after that I had charged it from a low voltage usb adaptor. ( Through the drone) It charged much faster through a different usb port.
