Whose boat is this boat?


Although,  I can't help but feel like these two lads were looking at borrowing one of these until they saw the condition they were in.

Yep,   that was my point,  although in the shallow water it does look clear.

Further out there is quite a lot of sand,  I must get out there and see if I can get a good drone shot.

Had a small dawn flight before Sainsbury at 7am,   but the wind here too is picking up again.

I had a project in mind for this afternoon. But if the wind keeps up - and the rain clouds are gathering, that will knock it on the head.

I just had a little flight and was getting the wind warnings,   did look too bad at tree level but must be stronger higher up.  

We should be able to order weather like you order Chinese food.

Must be somewhat of an unofficial abandoning spot or maybe it is just plain convenient to leave it and depart.

I think all the little creeks off the estuary round here are rife with it,   its been that way since WW2.

The other day I saw a young lad on a paddle board in the water,  and he started to squeal. It turned out that little fish were leaping out of the water onto the board and he was using the paddle to bat them back into the water,   Ive never seen anything quite like it.   Although that would imply at least that the water was clean if theres lots of fish there.

Just the opposite here concerning abandonment.  When the authorities find an abandoned boat they try to find the owner and when successful they face a very hefty fine and have to remove the boat within 48 hours.  Salvage companies love it because the owners normally have to come to them to get the abandoned boat removed.  

Makes it easy for the law enforcement folks because every boat has to have a state registration number on it.  They can also trace back engine serial numbers.  Most owners know this and don't want to face fines or worse yet jail time so it is rare nowadays to find an abandoned boat.

I think if you did dump something in a main water way like the thames there would be more interest to find the owner and remove it,  but these backwaters we never seen any enforcement like that.

Oh yes for sure.  the egrets here are so wonderful to watch,  I do it most days when the tide is out,   when the tide comes in they move to other parts.
