The Bell Tower at Barack Street Jetty, built in 1988, used to be the main feature in this area.
But then Elizabeth Quay was built next door, and the hotels and apartment blocks dwarf it now.
The tower is 82.5 metres, or 271 feet tall, and houses the twelve bells of St Martin in the Fields, which were cast in the 14th century, but after some cracks were found in them, they were recast in the 16th century by Queen Elizabeth I.
In addition to the historic St Martin, a 6,500 kilograms ANZAC Bell was added recently and is expected to last over 500 years.
The Bell Tower is the only place in the world where you can view bell ringing in action or where you can even have a go at bell ringing yourself.
"The Swan Bells are a set of 18 bells hanging in a specially built 82.5-metre-high copper and glass campanile in Perth, Western Australia. The tower is commonly known as The Bell Tower or the Swan Bell Tower". Wikipedia
We would never be able to appreciate any of these details without a drone. A drone really opens up the world to us in an affordable way not possible just a decade or so ago

Yes, that's what I am thinking, too! Being new to the drone world (still waiting for my mini 3 to arrive) I find myself marveling at the new perspectives these drone flights offer. This bell tower is an impressive landmark but I also appreciate the view on Perth from the tower's top (or even better: from above the tower's top).
And another detail I highly appreciate: thanks for your explanatory text; the caption is an excellent complement to the footage!
