I had intended to film some of the carnival route from a safe and legal distance with the Mavic 2 Zoom, but it was far too windy on the day and with intermittent showers.
Meanwhile, Mrs.B  wandered off with my Pocket2  and got a number of clips - doing a better job that I could have, if i'm honest. Here's a few minutes edited from her work

Well, you could have given your camera to the guy on the tall unicycle- it would have looked just like a drone shot! Great footage, I like watching local festivities, interesting to see, how people around the world like to celebrate !

Glad you liked it   Yes the guy on the unicycle would have a drone's eye view.
Likewise the lady on the stilts who almost got blown over at around 1m50

Gosh,   Team effort for sure.      Although I saw enough fire engines on Friday for my liking and nearly made a bad foobar at the train station.  

Very nice assortment of clips.    Kudos to Mrs. B for such a great filming job.

Oh,  she's got the bug.

There was three engines at the end of the road for a chip shop fire,  then at the railways station there were 4 more, 9 police, 1 British rail and 4 ambulances.     

There had been an accident and they had to stop all the trains,    Id just flown towards the area and was looking for a composition but nothing took my fancy,  then as I was leaving I noticed a lot of police that seemed to be looking around the area Id come from,   then when I got to the station I realised what had happened,   so I suspect the police were looking for the drone pilot to have a moan.

The Kinks had some great songs.  Wasn't Dedicated Follower of Fashion a 1966 or 1967 song?  I know it was on some of their later albums but I think it was first released as a single back in mid-60s.

Absolutely.  I walked back there yesterday and I doubt from the distance I was from them they would have seen it but I can't be 100% sure.

You sure made for a great team for this one, she for the filming and you for the editing. That was a very colourful parade with a great variance in partakers.

I guess I'll have to put something up from the May 1st parade, though that will probably look pretty meager now compared to this
