Another great shot DA.    Superb job.  

No train but you did get the abandon boat in the right of the frame.

What a disappointment for Peter - but not for us. Great image.

What a lovely place to live DA, where I’m at we got nothing but 97 degree weather and desert as far as I can see.

Indeed,   Can't be sure if the police did see it or not but they seemed to be looking for something near where I flew from.

You may have just lucked out if in fact they were "checking you out".  


As an aside I had an Inspire checking out my boat late yesterday when we had a very brief reprieve from the downpours and while I was on the deck firing up my small BBQ grill.  It hovered about 30 feet above me and circled the boat 3 or 4 times and then just hovered again off the port side.  I decided it was time for him to quit checking out my boat so I pulled out my unloaded shotgun and pointed it at the drone.  It immediately took off.  Doubt it will  be back today as it is calling for 95% heavy thunderstorms.  

What a view! And with all these great pictures, I'm sure you'll get another great one with the train for Monty.

We actually have a new train on the local line that might make a good subject for that.

Do you see many Inspires there?   Ive only come across one Inspire 1 here.

There are several in the area but mostly used for commercial purposes.

Nice, then I could ask for some royalties.    There are much bigger and fancier boats nearby that they would probably prefer to feature.

Not sure how that works with a boat,  but here property like that wouldn't entitle you to royalty as such,  especially if its something visible from public property.

Using private property in commercial ads entitles you to compensation.  Since my boat is located on a privately owned creek on my property it is not easily viewable from any public property.  

Not to worry as I have no doubt it will not be used in a commercial.

If he was he was pretty hard up, especially since it was a light drizzle of rain ongoing.  I guess the Inspire is a bit  more forgiving in rain that any of the Mavic line.  Anyway, he has not been back.  Could be looking down the barrel once was enough for him to decide to fly somewhere else.

Only he didn't know it wasn't loaded but he could see the barrel pointing straight at him.
