I've been unable to find confirmation that the M30 has TimeSync, like the P4R, P4MS, and M210 V2 RTK/M300. Without TimeSync the precision of the imagery captured will not approach survey grade; such is the case with the M2EA, making it unsuitable for high-precision mapping. I've looked on the DJI M30 product pages and specs, but see no mention of TimeSync there, as opposed to the pages for the other systems I mentioned above that do have TimeSync.

Can you please confirm whether the M30/M30T has TimeSync for its RTK positioning data?

Found this on the FAQ page:

"Does the M30 series support the high-precision mapping function?

It does not correspond. The M30 series is not designed for aerial surveys. You can use the DJI Pilot 2 app to plan flight paths and take pictures in FPV mode for aerial photography, but we cannot guarantee the accuracy of the model created."

Sounds like Time Sync isn't there. This is a HUGE omission and a deal-breaker for us. Unless it is to avoid competing with their other aircraft that include this functionality, I can't imagine why they would handicap the M30, which already has RTK GNSS, for use in mapping. And if that is the reason, it is a bad one, from a customer's perspective.
We may be able to find a non-mapping application that can benefit from the laser range finder and other great features, such as observing and measuring marine megafauna, but it really sucks not to be able to use a US $10-15K drone for high-precision mapping as well.

Why, DJI?... WHY?!?!?

Hello, there. M30T does not support the TimeSync function. TheM30 series is not designed for aerial surveying. Users can plan a flight path and capture photos in the aerial FPV mode of DJI Pilot 2.0 App, but the model's accuracy is not guaranteed.

Very specific, M30 has no TimeSync and the much cheaper Mavic 3 Enterprise has TimeSync.

This model isn't meant for mapping, DJI isn't to blame here. It's a public safety / inspection drone and doesn't need to have Time Sync on board

LOL you replied to a year-and-a-half old already answered thread.

And I disagree. The M30 has other features (specifically the range finder) that none of the "mapping" drones have (unless you count the L1/L2). Why hobble it for mapping? It already has RTK. DJI should have included TimeSync as well.
