I don't believe that is just raw material.
There is more profit too.

Im sure they would tell you it was increased costs due to fuel and inflation.

Very true,  although there's some hope here the fuel price has peaked and will start coming down.

I just read about it and it seems the fuel companies are hesitant to do that.

I bet they are,  I just went past the local station and the price had dropped almost 10p over yesterday's cost,  so thats quite nice as I need to fill up.

I have a debit card/bank account where I can hold multiple currencies in different accounts,  so when the rate is good I will top up a currency Im going to need,  then when I travel and use that card it just debits the amount from that countries account.    I can even remove €300 equiv a day at cash points without charge.     It especially good to use over weekends when you never know what rate they will charge you do just using a regular card.

Nothing,  its free.   They have tiers if you want lots of transactions or custom cards etc but for my use Ive never paid them anything beyond what they might make with the exchange rate etc.  the company is called Revolut I don't know if they are in the EU or not.

Oh ok, here in NL they charge you for almost everything (the banks)

Banks here are pretty good for the most part.   but if you go overdrawn they'll charge you like £25 for a letter to tell you off.

Here they charge everything they can think off.
Debit card
Credit card
Second card.
Second account holder (you need that if you want your partner to be able to access your account if you are 'gone')
And the list goes on.

My bank now charges you if you want a custom image on the card,  but no charges for things like you list.
