It's not abandoned - as far as I know, it's quite popular and very beautiful, thou I never saw this lift working

The views are just amazing.   That's a truly remarkable location to fly at.

Yes, I have two 3's one Mavic (M) and one Mini but mini is nowhere near the Mavic and I use it just for walks

Too bad it is too heavy to fly anywhere interesting here in NL (the bigger one)

That is not my issue.
The issue is that I can't fly it anywhere interesting.
(and by that I mean with buildings and stuff)
I have to keep at least 150m distance.

As far as i remember that's true if You have A1/A3 but A2 will alow You to fly near peoples and structures

Only <250g are allowed to fly over buildings and people unless you get a permit (for every flight)
For now A2 allows for 50m minimum distance (still too far for my kind of subject, I really want to fly over buildings), but it will jump to 150m for non CEx marked drones after the transition period.
