I need help in updating DJI FLY app on my RC PRO.......

At the moment you cannot update the fly app on its own,  you can only update the firmware.  You can trigger that from the about menu in the fly app.

When I updated the firmware on the DJI RC Pro to v03.01.0800 it also updated the Fly App to 1.6.6 automatically.

Just go to about and update FW this will Automatically update app if its needed.

Yes that’s right.  But you can’t download an app update like the smart controller on its own.

Yeah and its the same on RC pro you cannot download new versions of the app, its just pushed to the controller.

Seems like a step backward compared to the original smart controller.  

Thanks to all……… I’ll try later this afternoon.  I noticed there is an update for the RC pro controller and the Mavic 3 …….. hopefully the RC pro controller is now compatible with the Mini 3

Don’t think its a step backwards, apps on the smart controller never worked so good.

You must not be referring to simply side loading the FLY app via the MicroSD card? I've had no problem doing that with the RC Pro.

Unless I'm misunderstanding the topic; otherwise the FLY app can be manually updated by simply copying the APK file to your MicroSD card, open the 'Files' app on your RC Pro's home screen; select the 'disk' directory,  then click on the APK and it'll start installing.

I called DJI support and they walked me through it…….. seems you can not update DJI fly app directly you need to use an APK down loader.

Start with downloading this APK directly from DJI, and then copy the downloaded file to your MicroSD card.

On the smart controller the app will prompt to do the update,  they seem to have dropped that so that you have to use the official firmware update method.

This way to copy dji fly to sd can also work with rc 2 controller
