Very nice capture DA.  

That is one of the narrowest paddle boards that I've seen.  Makes balancing even more important.

probably,   but who said I was going to fall in.    I actually found a local place to use thats not tidal where they teach small groups (no more than 5) how to paddle board and you get your paddle board certificate at the end,   but she wasnt too keen on trying it.

I think she has banned me from the idea to be honest,  probably concerned Id drown and leave her nought.

Definitely for use with somebody experienced and has a great sense of balance.

there were loads out yesterday but the best one I saw was a young couple got off the train with two inflated boards and two paddles and walked them down to the river.

Sounds like you are having some great weather and it is bringing people outdoors to enjoy it.  Glad to hear you have had a break in the rains.

Should be cooler next week which is fine by me,  as long as the wind stays down and the rain away during the day.

I hear exactly what you are saying.  No rain today....finally.  But plenty of wind gusts so again a no fly day.

Will it be better if you get any from the coast?  I find here the coast is the worst for the wind.

Unfortunately DA the winds were whipping up from the gulf of Mexico and extended all the way across Florida and out into the Atlantic Ocean.

You know meteoroligists, sometimes right, sometimes wrong.  That is why they have been nicknamed weather guessers.  Showers again this AM but supposed to clear up by afternoon.  Unfortunately, middle of last week I scheduled an eye appointment for this afternoon.  I hate to cancel the appointment just to go fly as I'm not sure when I will be able to get in again as I lucked out on this appointment due to a cancellation of somebody else.  Normally, they book up 30 days in advance.  I will be getting my eyes dilated so will be very light sensitive afterwards and know I will not be able to fly then.  So probably looking at tomorrow as no rain in the forecast.  Just have to hope the wind doesn't show back up.

Had the eye appointment.  Optometrist said the initial drops were not dilating my eyes properly so he opened a new bottle and gave me a 2nd set of drops.  That worked and my eyes are still a bit dilated 17 hours later.  I called his office and they said don't worry as the extra dose will require up to 36 hours to wear off.  Wonder why they didn't mention that before I left the office yesterday.

Well that was jolly nice of him,   I usually get the dye as I wear contacts,   was yours a diabetic test.   They dilate my dads pupils like that and then take a photograph.

The eye doctor was doing it to detect any ocular and/or systemic diseases.  Basically he was checking for glaucoma, diabetes, and hypertension. He also monitors retina health.

Ahh,   yes so very similar to the eye test diabetics get here.

Saw a young couple last week getting off a train with two paddle boards that were fixed,  poor guy struggled to carry them both,  he GF just got he paddles.

I have been looking to getting one for the holiday but they are quite expensive and big and heavy (I'm talking about an inflatable one)

Ive seen a couple of people setup the inflatable ones and they seemed to be about the same size as a sleeping bag before they got it all out.

It probably depends on the type etc. But the ones I have seen are about 80x50x30cm in the bag and weigh a considerable amount.

There certainly seems a wide range of boards available.
