This stems from a recent thread and some comments concerning the Mini 3 but the question is NOT limited to Mini 3 users. Oh, of course, this refers to throwing a drone whose motors are running.

I've hand launched/recovered every drone I own.  Never desired to attempt a throw launch.

  Too risky when hand launch works just fine.  

Its only a gentle throw.

Should I add a 4th option which is perhaps relevant to only the Mini 3? The option being "Mini 3 only, I would if I could.".

what is throw lunch?

Starting the motors with the drone in your hand then literally throwing the drone into the air. I wouldn't recommend it
