Can you believe it, another DJI Mini 3 Pro Test flight ended in a drone flying confrontation this time with a local farmer. I'm a freaking drone police magnet
This could happen to you despite you knowing the local drone laws, have you had any similar experiences?

Nicely handled Hendrik.    Burt I have to wonder if you have some sort of drone sign on your car.

Great job of staying cool and explaining things calmer with the land owner.

You truly are a drone police magnet Henrik.

Can you please clarify this: Early in the video I believe you say it is not legal to fly over private property. Near the end of the video, you say you don't have to ask permission to fly over the farmer's fields (which is private property) because it's legal to do so, you just can not takeoff or land from private property, but you have to respect someone's privacy (how exactly is that defined?) so you wouldn't fly over his garden.  These seem like contradictions, or at least, very squishy definitions.  His fields and his garden are his private property.  What's the difference between flying over his fields (without his permission) and flying over his garden (without permission)?

PS: I enjoy the confrontation videos, more please.

Thats a good point.

Although, if it's like the UK, you can fly over private property but you must respect privacy, i.e., don't record or minimise exposure, for example, don't put it on social media etc also don't loiter over private property, actually, that one is mine and may not be in the laws but i would be surprised if its not.

"you must respect privacy, i.e., don't record or minimise exposure..."

OK, no recording (well, how about recording from a distance?  How far away is far enough?).

Next, please define what constitures "minimized exposure."  Can you fly overs someone's garden for a specific period of time (1 minute or 30 minutes?), at a specific minimum altitude (one meter or 100 meters?), or some other quantifiable measure?

"don't put it on social media etc"

OK, no social media -- that's easy.  But "etc" covers...a lot!

"also don't loiter over private  property"

Please define "loiter" and how that is different from just flying around, for example while doing range or signal tests...

There's the famous old saying (in the USA) about pornography:  "It's difficult to define, but you know it when you see it."  It sounds like the legality of flying one's drone is pretty much the same...that is, there are few clear definitions, mostly it's left open to interpretation, and "I know a violation when I see one."

These are legal questions, and the devil is in the details.  Kind of insane, no?

I had my first drone confrontation two days ago, actually.  It was the neighbor across the street from me.  She told me not to fly over her house.  I explained to her that I am NOT breaking any rules, etc. and am within my rights to do so.  She asked me to stop doing it and I said "no, I will not forego a right which lawfully belongs to me."
