With that update, they can improve the speed to get a C classification.
Because this is a must have for C1

after i updated this firmware i have an issue with gimbal. "incompatible gimbal data  code 40012"    no hit no fall not presure or any harm to the drone or gimbal. just after i update had this issue. i tried to refresh firmware and nothing. i tried recalibrate and nothing. damn i dont know what is going on... all steps are done and i really want to rollback firmware but assistant 2 dont give me this option

DJI is not a Japanese Company as i knew or ?
So maybe they start to test the RID in Japan, and if anything is quite OK they go forward to EUROPE and the rest of the world.

No, they are from china.
My reply belongs to the post in which somebody asks why DJI implemented the Remote ID function if the drones have no C-Classification. But this doesnt matter, because the Remote-ID function in this update is for japan and there they dont care about the missing c-classification of european regulations

But i think this is a good sign for DJI users in other countries, if it is possible to add Remote-ID with an update.

What is not working ?

I lost RC connection three different times (different batteries each time, different flights) with the new firmware.  Each time, the drone was no further than 600ft from me and less than 300ft in the air.  This is scary and unacceptable.

sometimes a have nearly the same symptom.
But i got a reconnect then.

After downloading new aircraft firmware.  I can no long get photos to transfer to Iphone using either controller shutter or iphone shutter.  Both sound like they are taking a picture but is doesn't show up on the iphone, however, videos work either way and show on the iphone.  Prior to the download the photo shutter was fine and recording to iphone  Help

why you make an downgrade ?
And why so much users do this ?
Every really goos normal IT guy get heart attack, if they must think in downgrading, and here i read a lot of this things.
This is strange for me.

After update one of my batteries won't update to the current firmware. It charges up 100% just fine and only has 8 charges on it. No issues when using with mini 2.

This latest update caused issues when using the Litchi app and now I have a black screen on my camera and I'm not able to downgrade firmware to fix it.

Litchi app is not DJI conform.
if you drone crashes under Litchi app you do not have support via DJI Refresh.
Also Litchi app is not a product where DJI must look for

Using DJI assistant 2 (consumer drones) series I have attempted to "refresh" the current firmware (as I noticed a few issues) and each time when the update reaches 84% it stalls. I have attempted about 8 times with each time same result. This is for Air 2S BTW. Now I assume that when a firmware update or refresh fails the firmware is now corrupted. What can I do now?

HI, I bought a dji air 2 S but dont work with my Xiaomi MI 8 LITE. Can you recomend me a android phones that sure working with my drone,please ?

My update fails everytime it reaches Japanese RID update. Air 2S then restarts itself a couple of times and then the update fails. Can someone help me out please?

I keep losing connection after this update can it be backdated i.e put an old update on, roll back ?

Hello!  The app says I‘ll lose the fly-away protection when I bind my Air2s to the RC Controller. So I had to reconnect the old Controller. I would like to use both. Any Solution?

Reconnect old controller, and in settings in the service coverage section, select "unbind controller"

Why did DJI reuse old firmware forum threads?  Basically appended new firmware information...  Running out of disk space?

Am I missing something? I've updated the firmware but I can't see the tab to adjust Cine EC settings. Only tabs for Normal and Sport appear.

Refresh the update on a computer, will possibly fix it

After update the shutter button (front/top right of RC) won't start recording. Switches to still camera. I switch back to video... Push button... It switches to still camera.

The first click does switch from video to still. The next click takes the picture. Same for video button.
