I uninstalled the DJI-Fly app and then reinstalled it again. Then using DJI assistant 2 on my desktop I reinstalled the firmware updates and everything seems to be better now I was a bit leary . But I was able to get 5.7k  = 3.41754 miles yesterday Over Watauga lake with no issues so that seems to fix my issues I was having with the RC .

to make it work I did a clean installed through the DJI Assistant2 desktop app, so now dual bands  both 2.4 & 5.8ghz channels are working good

I updated the IOS, mini 2 and controller yesterday and have noticed 2 issues so far:
1. My range is reduced about 1/3rd before it starts getting laggy and loses signal
2. Everytime I launch when the drone goes to the 3ft hover from where I take off right after it says "home point updated" I then get a written message on the screen saying "payload mode enabled. Altitude limit 93ft. distance limit 200ft"  

I have nothing extra on the drone so WTF???

Your mini 2 is telling you it needs a prop change

Glad to read that you are sorted . It looks like you have the FCC version. I just tested mine and 2.8 ghz works but the 5.8 and dual band the signal is abysmal. You can have drone next to the controller and it’s showing weak signal .

Sadly we are unable to roll back the firmware but mine used to work fine but it’s not now .

Only the 2.8 one working fine . Dji needs to fix this .

Disable the "payload mode" in the Fly App.

Same here on payload mode but on old firmware 1.0.3

with time the problem appears with me it was after 23 flights, 5.8ghz does not work

my mini 2 after updating is no longer syncing photos with the app gallery.  To access I need to connect the aircraft and access the memory card, is it some configuration?

my mini2 have firmware 1.0.3 and my app its 1.5.1 its better stay with what i have or update to 1.05 and app 1.6.6?

Will this cure the quickshots not locking on to anything issue some android users including me are having. Can't lock on to anything ... no plus sign on screen and drawing round something the box just disappears as soon as you let go of the screen.

I never had this issue before. It instead started exactly after this upgrade. Any hint how to solve it ?

Can I fly my Mac mini and allow certain people to watch? Wasn't sure who ask

For people running on IOS and not wanting to upgrade the firmware, it's important not to accept the upgrade of the app.

As per your post, Just what I see. I'm running an Android Note 8 and rinning the 1.6.6 app and firmware 1.3.0 with no messages at all. Might be an android thing.

A video? Come on DJI ! People can read! Post the instruction in text if it is unusually difficult with this update.

I was on 01.04.0000  and, afer installing the 1.6.6. the app forced me to upgrade the firmware. Are you on iOS or Android ? (I am on iOS)

stays on that does not update to 1.4 with time the ci 5.8ghz heats up and damages, you have to change the core or rebaling the ci. mine only works on 2.4ghz auto

I never had these errors until the last update.
Assuming the mini 2 is built to fly indoors i'm not sure this is good.
I didn't have this on the previous update and I'm honestly afraid to go outside and fly.
PLEASE allow us to bring everything back to the previous level which was really good.

GPS signals need an open sky environment to connect. It's expected that you get this error indoors.

So if someone has v01.03.0000 and wanted to update to v01.05.0000, since it's only 49mb wil DJI update it to v01.04.0000 first?

I recently update my mini 2 and the range control of the quickshot is missing, please fix the problem

Disable the "payload mode" in the Fly App.

It was disabled. It keeps enabling itself.

I unfortunately turned off my drone during the update.  The back light on the drone now gets 3 flashes on power up then begins blinking red repeatedly. Can’t power off using the button and will not connect with the controller. Crap

This is happening to me at the moment did you find a fix ?

My son was downloading and I took over the app stopped
Now won’t power off and two lights either end of batter level lit not sure what to do

I only updated the first battery together with the other updates but the other two batteries asks me to update them but does not update them what to do?

The best way to manage a technical issue is to open a support ticket.

Yes they read the posts. Do they help? No.

But, they are faster than a speeding bullet  when it comes to letting you know if your accessory or phone is not DJI approved.

Yes - I'm seeing this too now
On 1.0.5 f/w and 1.6.9 app on Android
After update Initially it was syncing NO photos at all - just cached videos
I did get a temp fix by 'resetting camera parameters'  in Camera section of app settings
Seemed was OK for next flight
But after another flight today, again its failing to sync photos correctly  again - only got about 60% of the ones I took showing correctly in the App Album

Annoying, as its a useful feature to be able to quickly check your shots while out an about  

Aircraft Firmware: V01.06.0000
Remote Controller firmware: V04.11.0100

Optimized flight safety.

(Only downloaded, not updated yet to my mini 2. Waiting some feedback)

Looks like once you upgrade to this firmware, you can't downgrade. It's a done deal ?
