It is actually version 1.6.6 best way to check this is to click on download link pointing to Android file on your mobile phone(Android) and then you can see that file name has "...1.6.6...." in the name and I'm guessing the description on the web site will take a while to update.

Yes RC had also 1.6.6

Please provide some trusted link to version 1.6.6, I have to go back because the new gyro indicator is unacceptable.
