I didn't want to pay then wait 5-6 weeks for delivery. So when the advisory email from Heliguy popped up, it was an instant buy within 5 minutes. Next-day delivery too

I just happened to be sitting having a coffe when the email advisory came in.  Ten minutes later it was bought and paid for. Tracking says delivery tomorrow.  And already the agent is out of stock again, so it's a good job I was quick on the draw.

Well done you. Now your bum will have less splinters in it. You bought it from the best place also I think as Heliguy are very good to deal with and guess what when you phone them a person answers the phone.

I am very confident you will like it. I know you have been reading loads but remember:

1) TX will not charge to 4 lights till it is registered
2) The drone will have sideways flight disabled if you have the avoidance set to bypass
3) When you do the first update which you will be forced to do. Keep the drone cool somehow, small fan perhaps
4) If you enable sideways flight and leave the avoidance set to bypass it will be quite abrupt to sideways input
5) Do the first charge of everything slowly and I think it is better to use a USB A to  USB C
6) Get a Micro SD card for the TX 32 gig is plenty

Well you know all of this anyway as you have been reading more than most.

All points well received, thanks. I'll take it one step at a time and not rush anything.
I have several USB  A to USB C cables so I don't anticipate any problems maybe get a small fan from the hardware store for cooling purposes.  Hopefully the Mini3 will show up on my Avatar list ina a day or two

Its a lot of money compare to earlier DJI Mini models, but the camera in particular is so much better than that on the Mini 1, especially for video (which the Mini 1 struggles on, even in 1080p60).

just added this to my little first preflight checklist!  Good to know these little quirks can save a lot of worry/frustration.
