Ouch.  A small tree branch pops up out of nowhere...what are the odds of that happening?  Hope the drone is okay.

I’ve watched a lot of drone crash videos, and in the vast majority the cause is just a thin dry twig.
Yes, the drone is fine, luckily for me, the twig was not - a branch
But if it was a branch, I would see it.

A twig it was then.  Just glad the drone didn't suffer.

I still think you did well to only hit that,   Im sure I would have ploughed straight into a tree.

In a way yes, this was actually luck.
Why do you think you'd crash into a tree?
No way my friend, because through Goggles the tree can be seen very well, and if you have obstacle slowing on, then there really is no way

No way my friend, because through Goggles the tree can be seen very well, and if you have obstacle slowing on, then there really is no way

Lack of experience with that type of drone convinces me Id crash,   I tried helicopters once and that was painful.

Yeah, while I think crashing your drone does definitely hurt as I know the feeling, it also can make us better pilots in the end if we learn from our mistakes.

You have normal mode, which is 99.9% similar to flying with GPS drones, but with this drone it is much easier because you have Goggles.

Some day I will try it but I will start with a cheaper drone that I can repair when I destroy it.

Before buying this drone, I watched countless reviews on YouTube about FPV drones for days, and came to the conclusion that it is actually the best DJI FPV because (believe it or not), in the end, it is the most cost effective.
In addition to being the most cost-effective, it has a lot of advantages over other drones (safety features, DJI Care Refresh ... and a lot of small but significant features that give it an advantage over others).
I have no use promoting DJI, but this is really friendly advice.
P.S. Above all, there is a simulator (although only for iOS) "DJI Virtual Flight Simulator" ... you connect Goggles and control the controller as if you were actually flying with FPV.
There are other simulators also for PC

Me too, the first 2-3 hours. I was desperate.
(be sure to check the settings, you may not have set a good camera angle, or rates ...)
But then some "click" just happened in my head ...
And you are no exception, trust me friend, you just have to be persistent and not give up.
Don't go into Manual mode right away, practice N or S mode first ... also a lot of fun.
