The second day of the rail strike........

As you may have seen in the news there is currently a multi day rail strike here in the UK.  

Sorry @Montfrooij no trains due to the strike.

Very nice shot DA.    The station and adjacent parking lot is like a ghost town.  Must be a sad situation for the commuters.

It would have been, except we had that for 18 months during covid times.

From a lot of the news interviews I've seen,  many are saying they don't care as they can work from home. due to covid a vast majority are now setup for that.

We hit 1100 people going to hospital daily this week,  seems the new two sub variants are avoiding the vaccine more and is causing more damage to the lungs in some people

That is worrying for sure.
I somehow hope we can avoid it and enjoy our vacation (this sounds quite selfish, I know)

There was a news article on American news that was calling out NL as one of the EU countries that was having a new wave,  but I don't recall that they had any numbers to give any sense of size.

Seems they have extended the strike into the weekend which will mess up the tourists for sure.

I bet they are.  No way are they going to admit it wasn't successful.  The losers in this situation are the commuters.

I got a clip yesterday evening just before dusk. but I was 30 seconds late to get a killer shot.
The blasted train had been and gone before I got the drone into position

I think it holds some truth. And I'm glad I got it now, hopefully it will help in the future.
But we did stay home when we knew we had it.
