Celebrating 20 MILLION feet.....

It feels like only last week I pasted 15 million feet,  but on checking it was 20 days ago.   So in 20 days Ive clocked up anbother 5 million feet flown,  considering I now have 300 miles on the Mini 3 Pro Im not surprised.

Perhaps I should challenge myself to 25 Million before the end of the summer.

Lol,   I went out this morning fairly early as yesterday there was rain from 11.   This morning that rain had gone completely,  I get down to where I want to fly from and the heavens opened so I pressed on walked 10 miles and then once the weather had cleared got a couple of flights in.

Some chap stopped and asked if I was flying Mini3,  Man he had good eyes.    He was thinking of getting one so was asking lots of questions.

Good point DT.  I’ve sprained an ankle before and was out of action for 2 months,   I don’t want that again.

I hear you on that.  Sprained my ankle onboard ship once and it made it super hard to get around.  Can you imagine trying to got over knee knockers every 15 feet or so while using crutches?  Not an easy thing to do.  Even when I tried to sleep my ankle would throb.  I  don't wish ankle injuries on anybody.

gosh,   thats the last place Id want to do that,   its hard enough when the floor is flat and not moving.

Definitely was a trying time.  Good thing we didn't have any emergency drills or I would have never made it to my assigned station.

Does there come a point with an injury on a boat like that where they pull you from duty but you still stay on the boat until you've recovered?

There are instances where they confine you to sick bay and other times they medevac you to a shorebased hospital.  I was deemed "essential personnel" so they didn't want to medevac me ashore.  Worked out okay in the long term but just glad we didn't have any emergencies as I was severely restricted with respect to mobility at the time.
