In trying to keep up with Mr @Blériot53 themes,   heres a dawn shot taken with the vertical camera on the Mini 3.

Lovely shot David, but you'll have to be up earlier than that for the dawn. Sun has to be just peeping over the horizon.  Had you had a lie-in?

That was about 8:45 so Im am pushing my luck a little bit.  

Looks really great DA and loving the portrait shots, that’s actually the only time of day I haven’t shot yet with my drone is at dawn. As I’ve always taken sunset shots but never sunrises or just after sunrise as I just can’t get up that earlier in the morning as I’m more of a night owl like right now it’s 12:40pm my time.

Extrêmement excité je dirais.

I only got a super short flight in yesterday (due to rain coming up out of nowhere).  When the drone returned I noticed the SD card had popped out of the slot but was still in the drone.  Before the flight I had used the edge of a credit card to make sure it went all the way into the slot and heard the lock click.  I was able to get it up and do a hover test before the rain and the SD card didn't pop out this time.  

Hopefully, weather permitting, today I'll be able to check on the SD card issue and get in a really good flight.  

Super happy that yours is working out so well.  Happy flying.

That could have been unfortunate.  DAflys andother have reported that the SD card slot is difficult to access. I've found mine no harder than the Mini One, and can insert and remove with a thumbnail.
Even a neatly trimmed one, before you ask

Well, I guess that I keep mine way too short then or my fingers are to fat.  I don't mind having to use the edge of a card as long as they stay in and don't pop out.  I don't have any trouble with SD cards on any of my other drones.

I'll beleive you   No flying today it's too windy even though it's sunny.
Awoke at 05h15 to a dog barking in the street. I didn't get up quickly enough to shoot it

I would have been reading about then,   started at 4:45am.  Out before 7 for the supermarket etc.   Same here though windy and the weather really can't decide what its doing.

Im a big news reader so at that time of day its the most convent way especially with the Telegraph subscription on the iPad,   I can finish it before its delivered to the paper shop.

Agree it shouldn't be happening.  No footage.  That's how I found it about the SD Card when it said insufficient storage, insert SD card.

I was commenting to DAFlys that I came across a gent that is unhappy with the lack of range on the Mini 3 Pro.  To make a long story short he has a pending 2 week vacation starting next week and wanted a drone to take with him.  He said he'd take a new Mini 2 in an even trade for his Mini 3 Pro.  I'm mulling it over.  Need to see his Mini 3 Pro to ensure it is not damaged, give it a test flight and check on SD card locking capability.  

Going to contact support tomorrow to send mine in for a warranty replacement.
