Nice shot. Definitely a contender, although I saw an article on BBC News channel yesterday  of clearing fatbergs out of the London sewers,  Ugh!

Ive seen those being removed too in the past,  it does look like a pretty miserable and potentially dangerous job.

There are some gases that are quite dangerous that can build up from what Ive seen in the past.

Great shot DA.    Reminds me of that TV series...that I think was called "Dirty Jobs".  To me I think Sewer Inspector or Crime Scene Cleaner rank right up there in the worse job category.  

That’s definitely a pretty nasty job.

Ive seen a thing about crime scene cleaners before and that does look nasty,   there is a teacher who turned comedian here who made a comical tv show about being a crime scene cleaner,  it was quite fun but some of the scenes they created were really grim.

No doubt about it being grim and smelly.  Definitely not something I'd want to do.

You'd definitely want to wear a full Decon suit, mask and gloves for those type jobs.

For sure not in the summer.  I remember a few chemical warfare drills we did onboard the ship in the Indian Ocean.  When fully suited up it was steaming hot.  Fortunately, the drills only ran for an hour.  Everybody was dehydrated by the time that was over.  

It's a dirty job for sure.

Im surprised people weren't passing out in those suits in that heat.

We had a couple of ones that were getting a bit "weepy" toward the end of the drill.  Some days in the Indian Ocean it was so hot on the steel flight deck that you could fry eggs on it.  Then to top that off those guys had the hot jet exhausts heating it up even more.  Just glad I didn't have to work on the flight deck.

That sounds like awful working conditions,  makes me wonder how you acclimatise to that.

They get a few extra dollars in flight deck pay but it is not worth what they go through to earn it.  Flight deck directors keep reminding of the need to hydrate.  They do their best between launch and recovery to cool down.  However, the hottest job on the ship is in the Engineering spaces.  Those guys sweat off many pounds during a deployment.
