It seems the controller that came with my Mini2 has died.  
When plugged in, there are no lights, unless I press-then-hold the  power button, then the first LED blinks rapidly.

It's been on the charger for over 90min and I've tried holding power button for 16s, no result.  

Can I get confirmation that it is dead-dead?  Is this a common issue?
