Does somebody know if the RS3 can balance a Canon R6 with the RF 28-70 F2?

Hello, there. Thanks for your inquiry. The tested Payload for DJI RS3 is 3 kg (6.6 lbs). You may refer to the link below for more compatible models. Thanks!

Thank you. Yes I know the weight limitations. But since the RF28-70 F2 is also quite large. I am not sure if it will fit. I have tried to balance the R6 with the RF 70-200 F2.8. It worked with the weight, but since the lens is quite long it I needed to move the camera so much back, that if I want to use it in flashlight mode, the camera will bump into the axis. I was wondering if this is also the case with the RF 28-70. i do not know the weight distribution of this lens.

I have the Canon R6 and tried to balance the of 28-70mm f/2 and unfortunately didn't work. The viewfinder keeps hitting the back of the gimbal, limiting proper balance. I am returning the gimbal, probably the rs3 pro will work.

That means you can still use a 70-200 2.8 well balanced in briefcase mode? I'm currently thinking about the RS 3 for my Z6II, but very rarely the 70-200 2.8 Z would probably also be used here.

You may be able to balance it by adding a counterweight to the camera.

However the main problem you will have is the huge weight shift when zooming. You will need to rebalance each significant change you make to the zoom setting.

R3 pro would be better

Thank you, that sounds plausible. Then I will go one step higher with RS 2 or RS 3 pro.

RS3 Pro has no problem carrying the 28-70. As you can see it here it balances perfectly even with a R5c and a V-Mount battery
