4D 6K owner/Ops,

Hope you are all enjoying this product and it has leveled up your production.

im on the fence about getting the 8K variant or the 6K.

those of you Day One users of the 6K variant - do you find your self needing that extra resolution? Do you think its worth the extra bread?

I know it all depends on the end users projects, but I still would welcome input from users of the 6K. I dont think anyone has the 8K yet?

Not at all. 6k to 4k is a good sweet spot for nearly all applications currently.

Resolution above 4k is simple for reframing today. So depends how you make your content from shooting style to post production.

So other than the whole re-framing thing, the only reason would be the sensor performance.

I haven't gotten my hands on the 8K yet to try it. (Don't know anyone who has one.) But the 6K model has native ISOs of 800 and 5000... while the 8K model has native ISOs of 800 and 4000.
This is what I'd be interested to see the performance differences of. Does this mean the 8K version doesn't do as well in low-light situations? Or am I missing something?
