Pairing is fast and easy. Both the camera and RS3 show connection. However, the camera does not start recording. Anyone solved this?

I have the same issue, I have it set for timer as indicated in the manual but it doesn’t work. Wired it works fine.

In principle, I can live without that also because wired connection gives more options if I'm not mistaken like control on settings (shutter, aperture, etc). Though, it would be nice to get it working anyway.

I agree 100%, I know the camera works with a Bluetooth remote cause I have one, but the rs3 won’t trigger it. I am more concerned that I cannot get the dial to operat the focus motor.

Not sure about the focus. I use a manual focus cine lens and use DJI's focus motor, which works really great.

Are you using the rs3’s focus motor? Cause I cannot get it to work.

make sure to change in the settings that you want the dial to control external focus motor. by default it is set to camera lens focus.

Thanks I’ll check that out, I thought it was set to the focus motor by default.

Did you ever figure out this issue?

On my r6, while in video mode (manual), red page 6, remote control>enable

Started working perfectly, for me.

Hey I figured it out! I'm on the Canon EOS R and was getting so frustrated until I realized that on the first menu, the red section, specifically while in video mode, there is an option on the second tab to enable remote. Mine was disabled and when I enabled it, bluetooth worked no problem!

This is the solution! Thank you for posting this. It took a long time to find this information!

That helps in video mode, but still cannot get RS3 Bluetooth remote working in photo mode for Timelapse's.
