panorama does not work in portrait mode, how to enable it?

I'm using firmware V01.00.0201 and panorama in portrait mode doesn't work for me either.

Teaser for a future update to have portrait panarama maybe, shame it was n't in the new firmware update.

they corrected it to Hyperlapse....i guess it was a typo or it did not make it to that release.

They have indeed dropped that in the release notes  in the new sticky post:-

Looks like it ( was) (is) there at least for some modes, but needs workaround.

It was simply an error in update text description rather than feature dropped.
