I’m not sure when exactly this problem started, but preciously I’d been able to change the video resolution via the slider on DJI Fly for my Mini2.  However I went on vacation last weekend and found that I could not change from the current 1080/30 setting as the slider is absolutely blank.   I click the resolution and the slider pops up, but there’s nothing there to select or change.  

I deleted the app and reinstalled but the problem still exists.  Edit:  I also installed the app on another phone I know hasn't had DJI Fly installed on before and the slider is still blanked out.

Current version of the app is 1.6.8 and all firmware is up to date.  

Anyone found a solution for this?

May we please know what is the model of the mobile device that you are using please and kindly please try to uninstall an reinstall the DJI Fly application ( https://www.dji.com/dji-fly ) to see if the issue will still persist? In addition, please sync all of your flight records before uninstalling the DJI Fly application on your mobile device for you not to loose your previous flight information. If the issue persist kindly please try using a different recommended mobile device for us to be able to isolate the said issue. Thank you.

If you read my post, you’d see that I already uninstalled and reinstalled onto my device (IPhone 12 Pro) and I also tried another device that’s never had DJI Fly installed on it (IPhone 12 Pro Max) and they both had the same issues.

In addition a quick search of this forum before I posted yielded other people with the same problem and yet there’s not been any fix posted.

The problem still exists in DJI Fly 1.6.9.  

OK, so far I've verified the blank slider exists on all of the following and I still cannot change my video resolution:
Iphone 12 Pro Max  w/ DJI Fly 1.6.8
Iphone 12 Pro w/ DJI Fly 1.6.8
Iphone 12 Pro w/ DJI Fly 1.6.9
Samsung Galaxy S22+ w/ DJI Fly 1.6.9

I was able to find an old android phone laying around and install DJI 1.5.1 on it (the only one I could find that was older than 1.6.8 with a quick search).  I was able to change the resolution from 1080/30 to 4k/30, and then when I plugged back into my Iphone with 1.6.9 the resolution remained the 4k/30.  The slider is still blank.  This does confirm that the Mini2 firmware shouldn't be blamed, unless it's due to the app itself being incompatible with the  newest Mini2 firmware.

Same story on iPhone 13 Pro, version 1.6.9. Hopefully it will be fixed soon.

Thanks--I've seen a few people post, but I've not seen anyone from DJI actually admit there's a problem yet.

I have reported this to DJI but got no response yet. The only iPhone setting which might be different is the text size setting which I have set to about +2, but resetting to standard doesn't change anything now.
The issue is quite annoying, as I have only HD video, without any option to change that.

1.6.9, on a Mini 2 and the video resolution actually can be changed when you try to change it?  The slider isn't blank?

Weird.  I’m on 1.6.9, and fly safe 1.00.01.23. My firmware tells me that it’s up to date, but the app also doesn’t report the firmware version.   I click check for updates and it tells me it’s up to date.  

So thanks to Chip1971, I have been able to sucessfully fix this problem.  It seems that the problem was caused by a corrupted firmware.  The fact that DJI Fly not only failed to notify me that there was a firmware problem, but also that it said that my firmware was up to date and it let me fly is disturbing.

Cliff's notes for the video:
1.  Install DJI Assistant 2 Consumer Drone version.  (https://www.dji.com/downloads/so ... sumer-drones-series)
2.  Open up the software and connect your Mini 2.   
3.  Edit the configuration file and edit the WM161 upgrade_enable=0 to upgrade_enable=1  Default location for WIndows 64-bit systems :"C:\Program Files (x86)\DJI Product\DJI Assistant 2 (Consumer Drones Series)\DJIEngine\defaultsettings.ini"
4.  Open and reconnect the Mini 2.
5.  Update to newest firmware.

1 - the latest FW disables the ability to downgrade to previous versions

2 - I have noted several threads mentioning issues with Apple “Pro” devices…. Apparently the Pro devices do things a little differently and occasionally some odd issues can result with the DJI apps.
