Fantastic footage.     Lovely location.  I would have been tempted to put the drone away and get out my fishing gear in that location.

Fabulous footage, if that's the quality of video out of the air 2s who would ever but the over priced Mavic 3

Hey UKMoose,

Imho Mavic Air 2S is an amazing drone that supports HLG HDR 10 bit video (I think D-Log 10 bit as well), The thing is it does not have variable aperture like Mavic 3 does as it has fixed aperture.  Also Mavic 3 has a bigger camera / sensor, which would help in low light and should have less noise in HLG. Also Mavic 3 has ProRes support and is able to do 4.2.2 sampling when Air 2s I believe does 4.2.0 sampling when recording video. Mavic 3 also supports 4k 120fps HLG / D-Log recording for slow motion recording (if not mistaken on color profiles, at least normal is supported). Another advantage is a secondary tele photo camera that is 7x fixed zoom.  Actually shooting in 5k 50fps HLG on Mavic 3 yields greater dynamic range and video quality overall as compared to Air 2S, but imho Air 2S is still an amazing drone and it's my second go to drone when I run out of battery juice on my Mavic 3. Just my 2 cents on it...

Thanks, Mike.

Yes that 2S puts out great quality images.
10-bit, H265 certainly helps.

HI Mike I appreciate your reply and thanks for the mavic 3 imformation, I'm sure it does have a market for the more discerning photographers, my needs are simple and my Mavic Pros still fulfil my flying needs, although I would like side, back sensors.
