Hey All

Following on from my post yesterday: crashed, lost, then found drone.
I have some damage to my FPV drone so I am wondering if this lovley community could point me in the best direction.

I have attched 2 images showing the damge, I have indeed lost an anetnna which is housed in one of the legs (which fell off, I have the leg, but its 100% goosed).
And it looks like one of the wires has had its connector ripped off.

I have tested the drone in a sense of its connection to goggles, turns on etc and eveything seems to be A ok.
Which leaves me wondering what is this anetnna for? Can I repair this my self with the dmg to the connector?

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!

Hello there George. I am sorry for the trouble this has caused and thank you for reaching out. Since there was a crash that happened with your DJI FPV. I would be best to contact our DJI support team at https://www.dji.com/support?site=brandsite&from=nav for further assistance. Just a friendly reminder that  DJI do not recommend doing a DIY in fixing the said DJI drone to avoid further damaging the said unit and voiding the warranty as well. Thank you.

Although DJI doesn't recommend DIY repairs I have been able to replace a motor and leg on the Mini 1.  I watched a really good tear down video and then obtained the parts from Aliexpress.  You have to have steady hands and a super small tipped solder iron.  Anyway, it can be done but it is not for the faint or heart.  If you aren't mechanically inclined I'd let DJI repair it and then you have no worries that you are getting back a fully operational drone.

I agree with Downtown. And I found the prices pretty reasonable for a crash that I thought meant total loss.
