This morning iphone downloadwd verion 1.6.9.How to get it on DJI RC?

Theoretically, you can transfer the application to rc via usb with otg cable, but you won't install due to lack of permissions. Thanks DJI.

Still says 1.6 8 on the Web page but link downloads 1.6 9

Mine never auto updates as I have a Note 10+ 5G and still not recognised as a supported phone.  Have to download and install manually

for the RC yet. Must be quite soon.

Its not firmware, its the app.

App updates on the RC have been included with the past FW updates.  It's a slightly different build from the phone version.  You won't see the RC update in the same cadence as the phone... at least, it hasn't been in lockstep yet.  You can even see on the RC version that the app version has a "sub version" indicated after the main version number.

Update 1.6.9 is already available for the DJI RC Pro (Mavic 3).  

But of course this controller doesn't work with the DJI Mini 3 Pro yet...

If it is supposed to be for the DJI RC it will tell you don’t force it

1.6.9 for dji rc will be released 8 july for update

RC is not updating itself yet till 1.6.9

So does that mean yes, it will automatically update itself or no, you have to manually update it?

Today it's 2022-07-14 and 1.6.9 is obviously still not available for the RC. Does anybody have an idea?

In a very recent communication with Dji, I was told that they are working on a Firmware update for the Mini 3 Pro to fix the range issues, and other bugs.  I would suspect that when this is released, that a Fly App update with some Fly App bug fixes as well, will likely be a part of that.

the only thing that's strange to me, you can get the Fly App version 1.6.9 for Apple Devices (dont know if there's 1.6.9 in Google Play Store as well), when you use your iPhone with the RC N1 Controller. But there is no V 1.6.9 for the RC itself. Let's wait and see :-)

Yay!!!   The DJI RC V01.01.0100 / 1.6.9 update has fixed the problem in Canada to not use CE mode!!!

The controller GPS does not seem to work any better

On second attempt again powering up outdoors it actually updated the top left message saying 'Recomended Zone' and showed my location on the map with the blue symbol

So, yes perhaps it is actually better

Arrived today!

App 1.6.9 has arrived, along with the FW 01.01.0100 for the RC...

So If I am reading this correctly the update seems to show up on the Settings > About section but it does not seem to install. Well that's what I am getting on my new Mini 3 Pro. I can see the update on the About section and when I try to hit update it brings back an error that I dont have enough space available on the internal storage. I do see that I can go and try to clear up space but the only option is to remove the Fly app. Once I remove it goes into a white screen and says "Starting App" and never gets past it. I have to completely reset it again to get it to comeback again.

On the other part its currently running 1.5.9 and It does not seem to have any of the quick shots either. Almost looks like a review drone. Anybody got any Ideas how to move the Fly App to the SD card because i am not seeing an option to move it to free up the space needed for the update. Seems that it needs 900MB or so each time and that DJI fly app is almost the same size.

Just me, but I'm never in a rush to update anything (app or FW) when everything seems to be working just fine.  I prefer flying to troubleshooting.  Auto-update is disabled on all of my devices.

Edit - oops, my bad.  I thought this was the Mini 2 forum lol.  I understand the Mini 3 has a few issues they're working on....

Dji fly App no longer working on s21 ultra, just keeps closing down as soon as I try opening the app up and everytime I click on the updated apk it says to update but I've done about 10 times now and still isn't updating even though its saying it has!

Delete the app. Clear the cache. Reinstall from DJI site.

I have a S21 and a S22 and had same problem. Do exactly what Mobilehomer said.. Don't use play store app it does not work right. Go to DJI and download from there...
