Hello there Drone chappy. Good day and thank you for sharing this interesting video that you have filmed. Just a reminder that birds are part of our environment and I'm sure they're not familiar to the drones that is why they might react aggressively when they notice it. Again, great work and please fly safe always.

Oh blimey, I think you could definitely say that that gull had intentions, Did you spot its attempt whilst the drone was in flight?

Yes i did ,but they come at it so quick and change direction  even quicker .
I didnt even have time to rise up rapidly.
Thought my little mte was going in the the drink .
Pretty hairy moment.

I think UP could have cost you the drone after the gull got close and between the first, second and possibly third passes, the reason being, the gull went over the drone on the first pass and came back above the drone in the other/s.
When you say you saw the attack live was it via the screen or direct sight with you eyes?

I had this happen in wales on my Hols, to avoid  collisions i just pressed up on my stick, birds cant go vertical like a drone can :}

Last Saturday a Gull was swooping at my mini3 but he didnt actually touch it.  

Yeah, bit of a close call.  It seems gulls tend to be attracted to drones.  I live on a boat and gulls are a pain in the arse.  They poop everywhere and aren't afraid of people or drones.  I've had to ascend quickly many times to avoid the gulls.  Also had to pressure what the boat several times due to the gulls.  Pesky birds to say the least.

I had a swarm of bees attacking my mini 3, that is, until they got sliced and diced. I tried to ecologically sound but they wouldn’t leave me alone. Did you know bees can fly 20mph?

Climb, they are generally low height fliers.

Luckily he did not hit me!
