If you set your RTH Altitude to 400 feet, (Bypass Obstacle avoidance On) and proceed to fly at a altitude of 400 feet, circling around the back of a 450 foot mountain and you lose signal on other side and the RTH kicks in - what happens with the DJI MINI 3 Pro Drone ? Will it climb the  extra 50 feet by itsef to get back to the Homepoint or just sit there or crash in mountain or go back the way it came ???   Any Help appreciated.

First, I do not own the Mini 3 pro so I may be wrong.
Second, I doubt it will climb to 450 feet before RTH. But the sensors might prevent it from crashing into the mountain on the way back and may land there. You may have to climb a bit yourself to reclaim it.

Don't rely on Obstacle Avoidance to save your drone.
Set an appropriate RTH height before flying.

I thought the Mavic 3 has that ability to Smart Return to Home  and was hoping mini 3 had the same...
