Out over the lake... Started to bring drone back and 2 birds were way too intrested!
Landed and then went back up about 20 mins later and 8 birds came after the drone! I landed and put it away! LOL
Hi there. Thank you for sharing this footage with us. We're glad that nothing happened on your unit and that you manage to land the drone safely. Should you have any inquiries, please don't hesitate to reach us and we are more than happy to help. Happy flying always!
Dammit, just spent five minutes trying to identify it, then it struck me, perhaps its not in the UK lol Always best to ascend fast (sports) in these situations, then fly away and bring home still in sports lol, birds cannot ascend like a drone, had a few encounters myself, its nerve racking for sure

Close call but that Swift (I think it was) was most probably being curious. From experience I've found the best way when birds come near is to ascent quickly. Birds simply can't ascend as fast as they can descent. We also have to remember that we are somewhat invading their domain as they were there long before we had drones.

I believe the easiest way to get away from a bird attack is to immediately ascend the drone and the birds then rarely pursue it.
They can't fly straight up! This is always the best course of action. Predators will try to regroup however.
