When shooting I often try to expose for the highlights because I know I will be able to bring some of the shadows back in post. And yes you are correct about the Dual-ISO technology! This also helps with retaining more information in the shadows when exposed for the highlights. I believe the Dual-ISO Values are 100 and 800.
