Just noticed that my Mini 3 Pro has flown over 1130KM,   anyone else clocking up the miles with the Mini3?

Just for the record its holding up strong and still on the orginal props.

Seriously though, I'd replace those props. Can't be too safe. They've more than served their purpose.

Did not give you the alert to make the oil change and filters?

I bet the Mrs loves you lol
You must have many, many hundreds of gigs worth of editing to do too?

I do have a good backlog of stuff to edit.  im waiting for a rainy day for that.  

Great job.    Hopefully the weather cooperates and you can double that amount before the summer is over.  

By the way, have you tried out the new firmware update from this morning?  Too windy to fly here today but I hope it solves the compass issues.

When I last synced the controller today it wasn’t up.  I will check now.   Just got back from hike number 2 today.

Installed update and did a quick 1km test flight and the radar works correctly but the calibrate didn’t let me finish and now won’t run at all. Previously I’ve been able to run it multiple times.

Nice that the radar works correctly.  Not being able to calibrate is a big issue though.

Some YT's are saying that the calibrate only runs if it needs it.  Im not sure how it would know it needed it.

I'm doing plenty of flights with mine, but I'm not sure the app is uploading them properly.  It shows my Mini 3 as stuck on 159km, and has done for the past few weeks.  And shows my Mavic 3 stuck around 700km, where it had done loads more than that before I got this DJI RC.

On the fly app on the phone, I can see the Mavic 3 and Mini 2 flight distances increasing, but not the Mini 3 one.

Hence I think something is wrong with the uploading from the DJI RC - and, yes, I do reconnect it to a hotspot after landing.  Airdata is also showing incomplete flights of the Mini3.

I do wonder if its related to disconnections during flights - most flights with my Mini 3 end up with at least 1 complete disconnection.


My old Mavic 2 is still using its original props, and has covered well over 1700km.  I think the props should be good as long was they don't hit anything (and in the case of folding props, the pivots don't have play)

My DJI RC doesn't update properly either but I sync the logs and then check on my iPhone and its updating as expected.

My Mavic 2 was on it original props until the other week when it came back with a piece missing from one blade,  since then its had a refresh.

You bring up a great point about knowing how it would know it needed to run or not.  That would require a bit of built in AI for sure.  I think it is just some wonky code that needs tweaking.

Considering you are right at 31M now I think you will far exceed 40M.  Of course you need the weather to cooperate.  

Do you do most of your flying during the week?

For me it is not that important to clock many miles,
More using it optimal for shooting video, photo’s.

But nice to know the mini3 hold good at least over 1100 km
I believe my mavic 2 clocked something like 3500-4000km
