It's said that 3 species of raptors in Australia have the ability to  pick up flaming branches to carry them forward, lighting new fires as  they go, but the activity is yet to be captured on camera.  They are  collectively known as "firehawks" and one of those species is the black  kite. All shot on Mavic 3  https://australian.museum/learn/animals/birds/black-kite/

Wow, really amazing footage.    Those Kites don't seem to be one bit afraid of the fire.  I also wasn't aware that kangaroos were so agile.  Great job on this video Chris.

Hard to watch. Is that an intentional fire? Lovely shots of the animals. Do the roos live in caves?! Probably just trying to flee from the fire.

thanks Downtown, no those kites live for the day the fires come. And those wallabies are actually rock wallabies, they'd give any mountain goat a run for its money!

No it was a wildfire. Yes the rock wallabies live in rock collapses more than caves...the reason I found them was that large green tree you saw is a desert fig. I know they need water to survive so it made sense the wallabies would be around there too.

You're very welcome Chris.

Thanks for the lesson on Wallabies vs Kangaroos.  Don't see either here in Florida.

Does seem from your video that the Wallabies could give a mountain goat a run for its money. They seem very agile.
