Sounds as if you weren't logged in to the app.

Thank you Flormo2002.  Somehow I was flying so many times without explicitly logging in. I remember very first time more than a year ago I did create my account and logged in. Not sure I did it all the time after.

This restriction restrict flying where there is no internet connection.

I wonder if there is the same requirement for Mini 3 with built in RC?

My understanding is the being logged-out imposes a restriction NO MATTER whether internet is available or not but that logging-in certainly requires an internet connection.
I am not sure if logging out requires an internet connection.

Being logged in does not "restrict flying where there is no internet connection" like you say.
Just log in when you have a connection and leave it. Cache map if you have to fly drone in area with no internet.

You don't have to login to your account every flight, but you have to be logged in if you want to avoid those restrictions.
You can fly for years after logging in, without having to do it again.
