OMG, today i ve experienced pack o hornets attack to my Mini 2.
On neutral Mode hornets were not to loose, i was struggling in sports Mode to escape them. Rapid ascend / descend was giving short-term result and they were back in a second. I am a sic person because it started to fun me, but than i decided to get out of visible sight yo loose them, unfortunelly i was on 30m AGL zone and the situation was not that obvious.
Anyone has that too? They probably treated my aircraft as giant non-familiar buzzing intruder.
Unfortunelly i have no recording, troubling the insects is not the thing i wanted to share thats why i didnt start the recording

Are you sure they were hornets and not male bees looking for a bit of female company?

i cant be sure i was escaping away from it , certainly not wasp nor bumble bee. I May say it was like half of single propeller big and about 8 insects were attacking. It was looking like an aircraft had no visible advantage against them

If you can ignore the presenter waffling there are some good frames of drones (male honey bees) getting interested in a mini of some sort

Had it once when taking pictures at a lavender field. Saw something flying in front of the camera. Lost them flying fast straight up. In my case it were bees. Didn't want to harm them.

Hello there fateofangel. Thank you for reaching out and for giving out these information. I have heard few cases when drones got attacked by hornets and wild bees. Just a reminder that it is not recommended to fly your DJI drone near them because it may damage and affect the performance of your DJI drone and may lead to accident. In addition, hornets and wild bees are part of our environment and I'm sure they're not familiar to drones that is why they react aggressively when they notice it. Thank you and fly safe always.

Best thing to do in a situation like that is to climb rapidly and then leave that location.  Pretty obvious that the hornets were agitated.

I've never flown near bees, but I had an ant living in my drone I think.
