I bought a mini 3, flew it for the first time today and as soon as it took off, I recieved a "motor overloaded" message.
The props were spinning freely, and it flew and shot videos and stills without a problem or any obvious reduction in performance. Anyone know what might be causing, or how to resolve or fix the motor overload problem? Cheers

Hi HML, sorry for the issue. Could you please provide a clear picture of the aircraft for us to check the motors' appearance?
At the same time, you may check if there is a need to update the firmware, and restart the drone multiple times to see if it could be a false positive.

initial/release firmware was displaying such warnings for many including me, update the drone and rc to latest firmware and recheck the properels when drone off, maybe something is blocking it

Thanks, RC and Drone firmware are up to date and I cant see anything obstructing the props.

Thanks for your suggestions. I recharged the battery  - took it for its second flight just now and there was not 'motor overloaded' message. the problem seems to have resolved itself. yay.

Verific if have some dust in one of the motor and verifc if they fells right and dont have something inside , this could happend if you flight or launch form sand sometime , use airdust for pc may help

Hello,my dji mini pro 3 drone dropped one time from prox 1 meter on soft grass en since this I have a gimble motor overload. I have done all the updates and calibrations clean ed the gimle with air but still i have a schiffering camara. Can you tel me wat to do. The drone ia approximately 2 years old and is not often used. Thanks

This happened to me. Mini 3 pro. Was taking off from a park bench.. The front 'pegs' under the body slid between the planks on the table and it caused the camera gimbal to touch the table during startup.. After that I got this message.. On 2 separate batteries that I basically just landed and swapped.. A third battery about 10 minutes later, and me rotating the gimbal prior to starting it seemed to have fixed it.. I will try again soon

Gimbal motor overload it's something I've been seeing almost every time I've used the wide lens.
The OFFICIAL DJI lens!
I even had to repair it once already.
Now it is even happening without that, just the ND filter or the normal cap.
Of course I'm just out of warranty.
Not once can I fly this thing without issues.
