Maybe the pilot was mesmerised by the slow, hypnotic churning of the lava...

Sensational footage N.O.T.   I would have thought that the heat rising from the vent would have toasted the drone.  l expect it was a zoom shot

That is awesome,   Im watching the Exploration Volcano program on TV and he's using the Mavic 2 to survey and map the Volcanos.

Agree, must be zoomed from a long distance, but the stability and lack of heat distortion is impressive if that's the case.

Maybe an asbestos drone

I wonder how often they end up having to use the cached footage coz the SD card got recycled with the drone in the fiery furnace...

Drone = UAV

Satellites are unmanned.
They are also airborn.
They carry instruments so could be called vehicles.

Satellite = UAV = Drone...

The drone warns you if it’s getting too hot.   I did see an air2s that had some light melting as he ignored the warning for too long.

I know the plastic is thin to keep the weight down, but melting - wow!
