Spotted this old Austin K9 truck conversion on our travels yesterday. Out came the Pocket2.

I didnt know about these Well Dressings until you started posting them.    Fascinating stuff.

There were four in the village - one of which was designed by, and jointly constructed by, a couple we know. Bradwell is only a 20-minute drive from here.

Hoping to head up to the next nearest Nuclear power station Sizewell in a couple of weeks for some photography including some droning,  interestingly it's only the main reactor building thats a NFZ so you can get pretty close just not overfly.

OK. That should produce some good material.
Unlike Wilfa Power station on Anglesey.
NFZ of 5 miles radius around that place, according to NoFlyDrones.

Definitely, has that 60s-70s vibe to it.  That was quite the artist that painted the old Bedford.  

You do have quite the knack for finding these oddities while out on your travels.

That's quite different DA.  Here there is a 5-6 mile NFZ radius around the nuclear power plants. Can't say as I blame them for maintaining the large buffer zone around them.

This one was decommissioned in 2006,   if you look in the picture there are two little squares in the sea,  thats what I plan to fly to weather permitting.

I reckon it was probably new in the 1950's or 1960's.  There will be a lot of history to it.
I'm sure it didn't begin life as a mobile home   Possibly an ambulance.

Just discovered it's an Austin K9, not a Bedford - I was mistaken.

Sounds like a good plan.  I do see the two little squares but have no idea what they are, especially being located in the sea abreast of the power plant.

Not a problem as I personally don't know the physical difference between a Bedford or an Austin K9.  Still makes for a great camper.

That makes sense.  When I was first stationed at the American Embassy in Madrid I thought I was seeing a lot of Fiats but then it turns out they were Seats.  Some of the same vehicles just a simple name change.  However, Badge Engineering is a new term you taught me today.
