Just curious as this is my first drone

If I'm likely not going to be flying for a week or more, how am I supposed to store the batteries? Any specific way?

Also if they're 100%, is it ok to let the battery discharge by itself to storage level or should I do a quick short flight getting the battery to 50% and then store it?

I would discharge them to 60% if you have time.

The batteries should have a discharge sequence. Even then, I try not to leave them at 100% and usually use them up a bit before leaving them for a while (just my personal preference).

Ok but lets say I charge a battery to full, go out and fly to 20% and come home, what should I do if I'm not going to be flying again for a while???

You can also discharge battery by putting in to charger unit (if you bought one) and plugging cell phone or whatever to discharge drone battery.  60% is what I use.  Battery stuff is Page 30 in manual ...

for few weeks it will be okay but if you do not want to use them for months than be aware to not let em discharge completely

I would charge them to 100% then let DJI's built-in management discharge them to the proper state. They won't stay at 100% for more than a couple days before automatically discharging.
